Maher is Right - Stop the 9-11 Conspiracy Theories - Please!

"Crazy people who still think the government brought down the Twin Towers in a controlled explosion have to stop pretending that I’m the one who’s being naive," says Maher.

How big a lunatic do you have to be to watch two giant airliners packed with jet fuel slam into buildings on live TV, igniting a massive inferno that burned for two hours, and then think ‘Well, if you believe that was the cause…’

Stop asking me to raise this ridiculous topic on the show and start asking your doctor if Paxil is right for you." - Maher on his show this past week

Note: I do not watch his show, I only found these quotes of the web, so don’t shoot the messenger. I do believe that 9-11 conspiracy theorists are a little pinched in the head to say the least….

Conspiracy Theorists on BabasChess Chat Predict ‘Something Big’ To Occur On Friday

Just a quick note of warning against reading stupid chats on any game servers….

I was playing chess on BabasChess (pretty decent free multiplayer chess environment) when a user named gr…

he will remain nameless because he probably doesn’t want his stupidity published but he said “so what do you guys think about the nuclear war/terrorist attack that is supposed to happen friday..”

He also said “No, I am serious, something big is supposed to happen Friday..”

Probably lunacy and conspiracy, but you never know, so I am spreading his ridiculous warning.

Friday will probably pass uneventfully, just like today did, so don’t be afraid readers… especially from some strange conspiracy theorist chess players.

Quote of the Day - Terrorism and Tyranny of the Police State

    taken from 911blogger.com

“First they came for the terrorists but I wasn’t a terrorist so I
stayed silent and went about my business. Then they came for those
suspected of terrorism, but I certainly wasn’t a suspect so I stayed
silent and went about my business. Then they came for those who
defended those who were suspected of terrorism, but I wasn’t defending
such people so I stayed silent and went about my business. Then, one
day, they came and began to “suspect” me, so I stayed very, very silent
    and went about my business.
And that is how I lost my soul.”

A good Reason not to broadcast Sensationalist Murders and Tragedy in the News

By now everyone should be sick of this Virginia Tech nightmare, so I offer this interesting tidbit about how the media helps propagate similar copy-cat crimes and murder suicides by flooding their stations with this type of news.

    taken from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copycat_suicide

The Werther Effect – Following the 1774 publication of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s The Sorrows of Young Werther, readers began to imitate the protagonist’s behavior. They not only copied his peculiar style of dress, but also emulated his more extreme action of suicide. In 1974, sociologist David Phillips coined the term “the Werther effect” to describe imitative suicidal behavior transmitted via the mass media. Research found that the number of suicides and deadly accidents increased following a highly publicized suicide, particularly in the area in which it took place. Oftentimes, those that imitate the suicidal actions relate closely to the original victim, by being similar in age, ethnic background, gender, and/or other demographic characteristics.

A Blog A Day Keeps the Terror Away

I am trying…. so hard to post at least once a day. It is difficult when life gets in the way, or the deathly cold winter terribleness of having to change your headlight lamp in the autozone parking lot and you end up blowing a fuse and having to spend even more of your hard earned money. (none of which is coming from this ad-free site by the way, this domain that I pay per month for hosting)

Things I don’t need to mention:

Boston security scare caused by terror advertising
(hilariously funny, but dangerously scary as well - like The Tommyknockers on heroin)

The Shins new album debuts at number 2 this week.
(if you don’t have most of the tracks downloaded already, buy it now, come on, it makes you think of Garden State coming-of-age angst and starbucks music! yeah!)

    Something cool:

    Mechanism of Hallucinogens Effects Discovered
(for those tripping scientists out there)

I thought since I am trying to get through Pynchon’s masterpiece - Gravity’s Rainbow, that this quote by MarK Twain would be appropriate:

“A classic is something that everybody wants to have read and nobody wants to read.”

Let the Invasion Begin - Border Guards Overrun at Mexican Border

Less than a day after the Democrats take over congress the invasion is beginning. It seems like insurgents are testing for weaknesses at border crossing points along the Mexican border. Yes, thats right, insurgents attempting to invade US soil. According to 12news,

“A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona’s border with Mexico.

According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state’s West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat.”

Maybe the conspiracy theorists will just write this off as an inside job, so that even with a Democratic congress, the doctrine to close off the border completely by a wall will still be implemented.

It makes sense for a second, scare the populous into believing that their borders are being over run so that they will gladly accept shutting down the borders. Just one step closer to a police state. Are the neo-cons winning by inches at a time?

If you believe that theory you will believe anything and their is no hope left for you unless you go back and read all my posts to get your mind right.

I actually believe that there should be more border fluidity. Track the bastards with RFID enabled passports and let them go where they please, if they stay longer than a month in the US then force them to pay taxes or be deported, like every body else. This idea gets a little hairy when you realize that to pay taxes they need a permanent address, which many illegal aliens do not have, or if they do, it is not reported to the proper authorities. Here we go again, digressing into the horrible issue of immigration control.

All I can say is that our only hope is the North American Union.

Read my previous posts about the idea and the plan for a North American Union.

look at this video of the minutemen militia taking the border problems into their own hands by building a border fence, 17 miles is already completed.

New Strangeness for the New Year - video of NASA photo touchups & conjuring the face on mars & falling objects in New Jersey

    first off:
Watch out for falling objects this new year…..

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A metal, rock-like object about the size of a golf
ball and weighing nearly as much as a can of soup crashed through the
roof of a Monmouth County home, and authorities on Wednesday were
trying to figure out what it was.” original article here

What is known so far is that the metal object was “heavier than a usual metal object of that size” and that no radioactivity was detected. At least the NJ cops will be kept busy for a while.

    Falling ObjectsDanger Falling Objects

Constant Skeptics prediction for 2007 is that more things will be falling and police will continue to ponder that magical thing called gravity.

In between dreams of new years resolutions to quit smoking and to stop eating questionable foods, I found some terribly bad Mars pictures with alleged ‘extraterrestrial evidence’. Look how ridiculous they are:

you can comment to the person who believes this crap here.

Here is the face on mars original:

To continue with the ufo theme, and to segway into the war on terror, or was it the war on germs and general fashion sense? - look at what passengers are wearing in San Diego during check-in for flights now, dubbed ‘Sky Slippers‘, these beastly things should be at an airport near you soon.

and finally: the video of the alleged NASA cover up and touch up of extraterrestrial bases on the dark side of the moon.

and something for you conspiracy nuts out there - remember to be skeptical about everything means your on the right track….
