Ron Paul at Google - A Great Interview Where You Find Out His Beliefs on Key Issues

I found this Ron Paul video while I was stumbling… it is quite good actually, if you want to know how he stands on major issues, like the Iraq war, gay marriage (he is for it) I guess gay marriage sounds pretty ridiculous as a major issue, but unfortunately in our infotainment society it is a major contender. As you will see, he is frank and direct on all the issues that are discussed. I admire his candor.

Anyway, enough introduction, at least watch part of the video and then decide if you see this man, Ron Paul, as our next president or not. I personally think that like it or not, another Clinton will be in the White House.

    In Case You Haven’t Heard…..

Ahmedinejad is speaking at columbia today….

check out the link to see the live blog updated as the conference goes on.

Allegedly there will be a debate, but I think students had to submit written questions before hand and then the authorities were going to pick out of the handwritten ones the most appropriate questions to ask… doesn’t sound like an open democratic debate to me…. but not surprising.

20 Most Popular Political Websites | August 2007

Over the last few years political websites, representing a wide
range of ideologies, have been sprouting up all over the internet many
times setting off mini-wars between the editors and audiences of the
various sites. This left us wondering which of these sites was becoming
the most successful; as gauged by overall audience size? To that end,
we here at eBizMBA have developed a non-partisan approach to
determine the Top 20 Most Popular Political Websites by ranking them by
a combination of Inbound Links, Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank, and U.S.
traffic data from Compete and Quantcast. For entries where a wide range
exists between the two data sets the highest numbers were used for
ranking purposes. Although no traffic metrics are completely
accurate, we do believe the data below to be useful for gauging
    relative audience size.

    3,411,397 - Inbound Links | 424,596 - Compete Monthly Visitors | 129,462 - Quantcast Monthly Visitors | 4,652 - Alexa Ranking. | Page Rank: 7

Skeptical Stats - I Do Not Trust These Stats About Bush vs Clinton Presidency

Be skeptical about these stats reader, I think some of these numbers are definitely skewed. I don’t remember there being a 119 billion dollar surplus during Clinton’s presidency, even though he did balance the federal budget.

Also, most of the stats listed are not the result of any presidential policy personal to each president, but due to external factors, like the stats driving the stock market gains was due to the tech and internet stocks taking off.

The only stat that Bush looks really bad on is the US troop stats, and what is an even better stat is that Clinton was pushing for peace in the Middle East while the Bush’s historically have clamored for conflict. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing.

Quote of the Day - Obama on Jobs in America

    Barack Obama:

“We can do more to create a government that’s creating quality jobs
here in America, and we can do more to create a government that’s
helping workers who lose their jobs.”
