Why is Biden Predicting an International Crisis?

    This is crazy:

“Mark my words…It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate…And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you — not financially to help him — we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Scary stuff and makes me imagine all kinds of illuminati shadow government conspiracies, but alas, I digress. What do you think his words mean? Is he just deranged from too much campaigning?

He escaped from a derailed train, a door-less plane, a bus crash, a car into flames, another 2 car accidents… then won a million dollar lottery

Frane Selak was born in 1929. He is a Croatian music teacher who used to be famous for his numerous escapes from fatal accidents.

Here is a list of his brushes with death:

In January, 1962, Selak was traveling via train from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. However, the train had suddenly derailed and plunged into an icy river, killing 17 passengers. Selak managed to escape, and only suffered a broken arm and minor scrapes and bruises.
The following year, while traveling from Zagreb to Rijeka when the door blew away from the cockpit, forcing him out of the plane. Although 19 others were killed, he suffered only minor injuries and had miraculously landed in a haystack.

In 1966, he was riding on a bus that crashed and plunged into a river. Four others were killed, but Selak managed to escape unharmed.

In 1970, he managed to escape before a faulty fuel pump engulfed his car into flames.

In 1973, another of Selak’s cars caught fire, forcing fire through the air vents. He suffered no injuries save the loss of most of his hair.

In 1995, he was hit by a city bus, but once again suffered minor injuries.

In 1996 he escaped when he drove off a cliff to escape an oncoming truck. He managed to land in a tree, and watched as his car exploded 300 feet below him.

In 2003, the heavens seemed to review his case: he won $1,000,000 dollars in the Croatian lottery!

“I know God was watching me over all these years.” he said, and has reputedly refused to fly to Australia to air on a Doritos commercial, saying he “didn’t want to test his luck.” Frane also said that he can either be looked as “the world’s unluckiest man, or the world’s luckiest man,” and prefers the latter.

Something to be Skeptical About: Abandoned Henryton Sanitarium in Maryland

    Something to be skeptical about:

Phantasms, ghosts, ghouls, and goblins. Not saying they don’t exist, but the due scientific dilligence must be performed to evaluate if they exist or not. One way to do this is to explore abandoned building sites. The following videos chronicle the Henryton Mental Hospital that has been abandoned for some years now.

    Henryton Video:

Weird Maryland Video: (warning pretty scary still shots of real statues in Maryland)

    description (via strangeusa.com) :

Henryton Sanitarium is located on Henryton Road near Patapsco State Park. (Zip Code 21784) This huge facility closed in 1985 and has been abandoned ever since. Originally opened in 1920. First the facility treated tuberculosis patients then treated mentally retarded children. Many people have visited this place. You must park down the rail road tracks and walk up behind it. Never enter the front gate. It is to dangerous. Witnesses saw shadows in an old theatre inside the hospital, a women’s dress hanging at the end of one of the long hallways. When they went back, it was gone. There are hundreds of rooms and doors. Outside of one of the buildings on a hill, they saw a rocking chair on a porch (above) still rocking as if the patients were still there. As with all the other closed Maryland Hospitals, It’s as if all history of the place was wiped off the map.

What scary places have you visited?

Pictures of the Day - Maynard’s Ghost Town - Jerome, AZ

The subject of today’s post pictures of the day:

Jerome, AZ - a former billion dollar mining town (similar to Bisbee, AZ) which is now Arizona’s most famous ghost town (current population of about 300).

    jerome az

It is now a Mecca for artists, freaks, and weirdos the world over. Interestingly enough, Tool frontman, Maynard James Keenan allegedly owns a winery here and Michelle Branch allegedly grew up here or named her album after a bar called ‘The Spirit Room” there as well.

I think everyone feels the need to get away from it all every once in awhile and get back in touch with nature. Northern Arizona sounds like the perfect place to do this. Since I consider myself a weirdo, this place is definitely on my road trip destination wishlist.

What destination is on your road trip wishlist?

quote of the day - Jung on ufos

“The plurality of ufos, then, is a projection of a number of psychic images of wholeness which appear in the sky because on the one hand they represent archetypes charged with energy and on the other hand are not recognized as psychic factors. The reason for this is that our present-day consciousness possesses no conceptual categories by means of which it could apprehend the nature of psychic totality.” - C. G. Jung from the book I am reading, Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies.

Well if anything, Jung was never accused of being terse.

    Is Barack Obama the Messiah?

“… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany … and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama” - Barack Obama Lebanon, New Hampshire.January 7, 2008.

    Is Barack Obama the Messiah?

This is definitely something to be skeptical about. I find it interesting that there is a blog called “Is Barack Obama the Messiah?” (http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/)

Hat-tip to the lizard man for pushing this one my way. He must either be an avid Obama supporter or someone who hates him with a passion and is scouring the internet for ridiculous blogs dedicated to him.
