Why is Biden Predicting an International Crisis?

    This is crazy:

“Mark my words…It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate…And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you — not financially to help him — we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Scary stuff and makes me imagine all kinds of illuminati shadow government conspiracies, but alas, I digress. What do you think his words mean? Is he just deranged from too much campaigning?

Money is only a means to an end, but what end?

If you had all the money you could need for the rest of your life, lets say 500 million dollars to make it a nice round number, what would you do? Where would you go? With whom would you share your experience?

With no daily job, would you become bored with your new found wealth?

I think I know what I would do.

I would go crazy at first and buy some amazing automobiles, random expensive things, etc. (sports cars are my main weakness regarding material things).

I would buy a small island. (yes, you can actually buy islands here)

Or maybe a few small islands, since some in the United States are relatively cheap. I found a few that were a couple of acres across for only around 200,000 USD.

I would buy a mega yacht.

I would perpetually sail around the world being the modern manifestation of the nomad.

The digital nomad, the culmination of the completely liberated neo-human.
I would have my soul-mate with me, and we would make friends and stay at each port as long as we liked until we got bored and then we would move on to the next hotspot.

We would explore all of the archaeological mysteries of the world and probably fail to discover any old secrets of human existence buried for eons, but we would have fun trying.

The gadgets I would take along:
Satellite internet (mainly to track changing ocean conditions and to maintain this blog)
Solar power cells (lots of them)
    GPS
    SAT phone
full workout gym to stay in shape

I would not take a cable TV. But I would bring a giant collection of movies.

I would meet foreign relations officials and discuss the new world order and debate current issues of the day.

    It is nice to dream.

What would you do with 500 million dollars?

“ANNONYMOUS” Anti-Scientology Campaign - A Lesson in Internet Enabled Protesting

    originally found on Laughing Squid

“Beginning in January a group calling itself Anonymous began an online campaign against the Church of Scientology (know as Project Chanology), leading to a global protest of Scientology on February 10th. Earlier this week Scientology (or people claiming to represent Scientology) posted with their own video response to Anonymous, accusing them of hate crimes and terrorism.”

Laughing Squid has a great article from February 11th, 2008 called “Anonymous vs. Church of Scientology

Here is a video that provides a histogram of the viral campaign taking off from inception to where it is at currently. It is a great example of what the power of the internet and like minded individuals can do. I am not condoning this behavior, it is only to prove the point that the internet can be a very powerful tool for campaigning, brand creation, and brand management.

I picture a new career fieldv(or is it already out there) for internet-savvy individuals that a company will pay to go out and scour the internet to look for bad publicity and to refute the bad press or the negative blog posts about that company. In this case, the Church of Scientology needs to hire someone to go and manage their online brand by attacking back at Annonymous.

New Movie Trailer - Big Brother movie called “Look”

This movie should be labeled as a horror flick. Did you know that the average American is filmed on security camera 200 times per day? Scrary stuff. Watch the preview:

The Davos Question - What one thing can we do to make the world better in 2008?

A great idea is taking place on Youtube. This year, the attendees at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland get to watch regular people chime in with their answer to the following question:

What one thing do you think countries, companies, or individuals must do to make the world a better place in 2008?

Some of the responses have been very interesting to say the least. My favorite so far is Jeff Jarvis, who states that

“Transparency is the most important thing for governments around the world to do… transparency helps people to trust the government”

I suggest you take a look for yourself @ http://www.youtube.com/user/thedavosquestion

    Here is the intro video:

To find out more about the World Economic Forum, go here:

    http://www.weforum.org/en/index.htm

SOME TIPS (from Youtube) on Submitting a great response to this question:

    1. Be original - choose your own idea and approach. Your video can be in the form of a vlog, documentary, skit… anything goes.

    2. Back it up - explain why your perspective is important through evidence or a personal story.

    3. Keep it sharp - you can choose to go short or long, but we recommend you keep your video at under 3 minutes.

    4. Make it look good - speak loudly and keep that camera steady.

    5. Provide context - in the video description, include your name, country, and hometown.

    Skeptical Predictions for 2008

Every January, bloggers post their predictions, some are better than others. All are shameless ploys to gain readership or generate one-sided discussions about how great they are and how everybody else who doesn’t think like them sucks. Well, hopefully, I will be the exception. I just accept the fact that I will be the ruler of the one world government someday and go about my business quietly, masquerading as an ordinary man…

    Ok.

    There will be death.

    There will be destruction.

    There will be heartache.

There will be needless pain and suffering the world over.

There will be Main Stream Media (MSM) to tell you all about it in High Def GLORY….

These things happen every year, 24 hours a day. It you go by the duo-decimal system that is 21 hours per day. If you don’t keep time then may God, Allah, and Buddha bless you as the druids cut out your heart on the sundial near the ruins of Carthage.

Another prediction: CNN will show you meaningless data visualizations:

Here is one that depicts the planes in the air… hmmm you mean we have that many planes and airports? wow… shocking…

    Planes on cnn

I am sick of no one commenting on this blog. Does this point to lack of readership? According to feedburner.com, I have 36 subscribers… (and no, I didn’t subscribe to myself 36 times). So who are the lurkers that read and move on without offering their wisdom? Or am I just not worth your time? How about I password protect the site and you have to email me to request to read my thoughts…. I usually do not make threats but desperate times call for desperate measures as the cliche goes.

Maybe I should give more of myself to this website and then in turn I will get back more from you. Maybe I should personalize the content I post. Any suggestions or predictions for 2008?

a quote about free masonry and the silent destroyers

“The great strength of our Order lies in its concealment; let it never appear in any place in its own name, but always covered by another name, and another occupation. None is better than the three lower degrees of Free Masonry; the public is accustomed to it, expects little from it, and therefore takes little notice of it. Next to this, the form of a learned or literary society is best suited to our purpose, and had Free Masonry not existed, this cover would have been employed; and it may be much more than a cover, it may be a powerful engine in our hands. By establishing reading societies, and subscription libraries, and taking these under our direction, and supplying them through our labours, we may turn the public mind which way we will.”
    - - Adam Weishaupt, founder of the Illuminati in John Robison’s Proofs of a Conspiracy, 1793
