I am the Best Multi-Tasker Ever! - Watching Movies on IPOD Video in Traffic While Driving - Do Not Try This At Home!

I definitely do not recommend attempting this, especially in DC traffic, but I figured what the hell….
It all started around noonish last friday when I decided to leave work early to beat the DC Beltway traffic. Boy was I in for a surprise. Because of all the out of state idiots hogging up all four lanes (license plates from Ohio to Ontario all over the highway) traffic was stop and go the whole way home to my fair town of Parkville in North Baltimore. During the 2.5 hour commute I decided to switch my Video IPOD from music to see what videos I had…. I realized I had downloaded “The Royal Tenebaums” to see if movie quality was good on the IPOD or not, a while ago when I first bought the gadget last summer. Great movie by the way, on my Top Ten list that I should be creating soon….
Anyway, I relaxed and started watching the movie, until I heard a faint sound like someone or a lot of people honking at me to move my ass…. So I stepped on the gas, flew up right behind the stopped traffic and continued to watch the movie….. I did this the whole way home and got through half the movie this way! I also sent a few text messages as well.
So how is that for multi-tasking….
Next Friday I am going to try eating fast food, talking on the cell phone (and not use my bluetooth hands free), shift gears (I have a 6 speed), and give the finger to the slower foreign traffic as well, all while watching the IPOD out of the corner of my eye and praying to the GODHEAD.
hah.

Thanks for reading.
Thunder and rain is pouring down and up as I write this.
Since I am skeptical about multi-tasking - here is a great post from lifehacker.com about how multi-tasking might make your less productive.
(PS - I am listening to The National - are you?)
