Death to all Ungulate Mammals - Still Skeptical About Global Warming and Cow Flatulence?
First off, Dr. Jeff Masters speaks on his Wunderblog about the failure of preseason predictions for the past hurricane season. He takes a more scientific and apologetic approach than I would have. No where does he mention that all of the forecasts were completely idiotic, with the most conservative prediction being 5 major hurricanes hitting the US.
Next, we have NPR’s news concerning Allstate pulling back from insuring coastal homes. “Allstate Insurance has added New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware to a
list of states where it will no longer accept new business. That list
already includes Florida, and parts of New York, Louisiana, Mississippi
and California.”
While Allstate adds these locales to their blacklist, they are also not increasing their homeowners insurance rates as much as expected in Florida.
It is obvious to me that insurance companies are going to be skiddish about insuring coastal homes, with all of the scare mongering going on from the global warming extremists and hurricane loudmouths around the biosphere. Predictions for 2007’s hurricane season are already out there… and it looks like it will be an “above average season”.
Ok, so what if the temperatures are extremely high for this time of the year. It will be 65 this week in Baltimore. It is mid-December!. Global warming isn’t all bad though, remember - milder winter temps = less gas and electric bills.
According to BSD, Global Warming extremists, who are called simply ‘global warmers’, they are “copying many of the propaganda techniques originally developed in Germany seventy years ago”.
also BSD makes a good point that:
“man-made pollution is a very small percentage of total production,
dwarfed by that produced by cattle.”
“The significance of these
conclusions is not just that an increasingly popular faith is debunked
in one of its cardinal convictions, but that it demonstrates that even
the total elimination of power stations, vehicles and aircraft is
unlikely to achieve any significant change in climate. It also shows
that the countries, where belief in the new faith is strongest, and
where we can assume the earliest and most effective action will be
taken to limited human production, have a total annual production of
pollution that is less than the annual growth in production by China
and India. To maintain any given level in global production, the rest
of the world would have to totally cease production to cancel the
increase from China and India for that year.”
So, basically, either way we are doomed to continue to live in a warmer and warmer climate year after year, unless for some reason China and India are wiped off the planet, cows quit passing gas, and all industrial production ceases. Oh, and of course, we stop mowing our lawns, driving our gas-guzzlers, flying aircraft, and chopping down the rain forest.
So, would somebody please create an organization that is for all of the above-mentioned? Please, no more animal flatulence, or cow milk for that matter! Its the holiday season after all!
