posted in environment, gloom and catastrophes |
Mount Merapi, Indonesia (AFP) Jun 09, 2006 - Indonesia’s Mount Merapi roared back to life Thursday, belching its largest clouds of hot gas and ash yet and sparking panic among residents already jittery from last month’s quake. Television footage showed stunning clouds spewing from the volcano’s crater against a clear blue sky just after 9:00 am (0200 GMT).
